CEO

Humble beginnings and hardworking Minnesotan grit shaped Cal to start the business that would become Blasting Technologies and BTi Log Home Care. After being sidelined and recuperating from a small plane crash in 2019, Cal renewed a desire to serve both the BTi team and the cliental, helping shepherd it into the industry leader that it is today. Cal enjoys hunting, boating, horses, dogs, and traveling in Montana and abroad. with his wife, Graciella and daughter, Goldie.

Hailing from Detroit Lakes, MN, and lured to the Big Sky Country by its outdoor opportunity, Lee calls the Gallatin Valley home along with his wife, Heidi, and their two children. Lee engages in every activity under the Montana sun; volleyball, golf, archery, boating, and hunting, to name just a few.

Director of Operations

Raised in a small farming community outside of Bozeman, MT, Ross comes from a family with deep roots in the Gallatin Valley, dating back to 1891. Growing up on his family farm in Amsterdam, he developed a love for the outdoors at an early age. After graduating from Bozeman High School in 2004, Ross pursued a degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology at Lincoln Tech in Denver, CO, graduating in 2006. He then launched a successful career in the automotive industry, quickly rising to high-level management positions thanks to his leadership skills and problem-solving mindset. A strong believer in giving back, Ross values teamwork and helping others—something that has been part of his family’s culture for generations. He now lives in Three Forks, MT, with his wonderful wife of 15 years and their five dogs. When he’s not working, you’ll find him hunting, fishing, or enjoying anything that gets him outdoors.

Financial Controller

Bozeman native Jodi Jackson started her career in public accounting in Eugene, Oregon. While she loved exploring the Pacific Northwest, after several years of long hours, she looked at moving closer to family and friends — and actually missed Montana’s seemingly never-ending winters. Working as the Financial Controller at BTi offered an exciting challenge to help grow a small company. She enjoys exploring Montana by mountain biking, camping, backpacking and snowboarding in new places. Jodi has tried her hand at gardening in the short summer, with only very mild success so far.

Chris brings to BTi a wealth of experience in residential and commercial construction for over 18 years, nationwide. Hailing from Georgia, Chris and wife Amber, along with children Drew, Hailey and Gray are excited to now call Montana home. Helping to grow and navigate the unique projects BTi undertakes, Chris enjoys raising his kids in the family atmosphere, outdoor lifestyle and natural beauty that only Montana provides.

BTi’s culture makes Caiti McCrary excited to go to work, and she enjoys interacting with customers. Originally from Washington state, Caiti has a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. Growing up, she lived on an Alaskan island with her parents and brothers — no one else lived there. Caiti and her husband call Montana home, and she’s not sure he would live anywhere else. Outside of work, Caiti stays busy chasing 3-year-old Remy and 4-month-old Thea, and enjoys introducing the kiddos to favorite hobbies, biking, snowboarding and exploring.

Originally from Helena, Montana, Lofton Brown has always had an interest in carpentry. BTi gives him the opportunity to learn and sharpen his skills, while working with really great people in some of the most amazing parts of Montana. Lofton has bachelor degrees in Science and Health Administration, and formerly worked as the site safety manager for ASI Construction. Outside of work, Lofton enjoys getting into the mountains, whether it's to hike, ride his motorcycle, hunt, fish or relax by the lake.

Allie is a nature lover originally from the Philly area with a BA in English and a Master's in applied science. Allie and her husband Gabe find joy in being in the mountains and on the water, usually with their dog, Fletcher, in tow. Outside of working at BTi, she enjoys reading in hammocks, playing guitar, camping, lifting, gardening, and hosting game nights.

Collin and his amazing wife met and married in Franklin, Tennessee, before making the move to Bozeman a few years ago. He has a passion for art, music, skiing, and just about anything that gets him outdoors. Whether he's carving down the slopes or creating something new, Collin brings creativity and enthusiasm to everything he does.

Creed is an outdoor enthusiast who loves sledding, dirt biking, and hunting. When he's not out exploring, he enjoys spending time with his two dogs. What he values most about BTi is the people—not just coworkers, but great friends who make work even better.

Derick thrives on the challenges and collaborative working environment at BTi. Originally from Ohio, Derick has been in Montana for several years now and couldn't be happier. Erik, his wife Darice, and their daughter Patience moved to the Bozeman area from North Dakota to Pastor a small local church. Erik grew up in SW Montana and always wanted to move to the mountains after his military retirement. Outside of work, they are very active with their church and helping to grow and inspire faith. They love being outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, and really doing anything that lets them take in the majesty that is the Montana landscape. Erik values working at BTi for its dedication in valuing its team members. The focus on mentoring younger generations and ensuring everyone has what they need to be successful is what drives BTi’s success.

Working at BTi gives Gianluca (better known as G) a chance to make a positive impact on people's homeownership experience and he truly takes pride in delivering the best service possible. Outside of work, he spends as much time as he can trapping, hunting, and hiking. Outdoors is where G feels most at home.

Jared comes to Bozeman from Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Jared and his fiancée picked up shop and moved out west. When not at work Jared enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing. He enjoys working at BTi because of the camaraderie he and all of his coworkers have together. “It’s easy to have fun at work when everybody is friends with each other.”

Josh assumed Operations Manager in April 2022 for Blasting Technologies. With the amalgamation of Blasting Technologies and BTi Log Home Care, Josh seamlessly transitioned into the Operations Manager role at BTi. He values working at BTi for its dedication to recognizing hard work and fostering innovation. Outside of work, Josh finds joy in snowboarding, hunting, and fishing, especially relishing the pursuit of Walleye on Canyon Ferry in the summer. His choice to live and work in Montana is driven by the awe-inspiring landscape, the diverse mix of people, and the vibrant culture that make this state his chosen home.

Leah is happily married to her husband Tim and a pet parent to two dogs and a horse. With a background as a licensed veterinary technician for 15 years, she seamlessly transitioned into office management, landing at Blasting and later BTi. Leah appreciates the fantastic people and strong ethical values at BTi, making work both enjoyable and rewarding. Beyond the office, she finds joy in reading, horseback riding, archery, quilting, and scrapbooking. Leah and Tim initially moved to MT for work, and the love for the place sparked dreams of a future homestead life.

Tori loves her family in Upstate New York, especially her dad, sister, and niece, Helena, who is her world. With a background in hospitality management, a culinary certification, and NASM personal training credentials, Tori brings a unique skill set to her work. Her experience in cooking and hands-on projects (rebuilding homes with her dad) has shaped her strong work ethic and versatility. At BTi, Tori loves the physical aspect of the job and the opportunity to explore incredible places with a team that feels like family. Outside of work, she’s always on the move—whether at the gym, outdoors, or spending time with friends and her three beloved dogs. Montana’s wide-open spaces and endless outdoor adventures make it the perfect place for her, offering an escape from the big city and plenty of opportunities for hunting and exploring.

Growing up on a maple sugar farm in Northern Vermont, Freedle Coty’s fascination with log cabins started at a young age. After high school, his career as a cinematographer and director for the ski film company Level 1 Productions took him around the world, following athletes in wintertime from Japan to Switzerland. That path led Freedle to Montana, where he loves snowboarding, fly fishing, hunting and gardening, as well as photography and design. Freedle also enjoys working with wood and being outdoors in remote locales on BTi projects — and most importantly, working with a really fun and motivating crew.
